Solace for the Soul” is representational art, precisely an observation type of painting inspired by the artist's perspective and encounter in her daily life. It mainly emphasized the Lilacs, the artist's favorite flower, and a small ladybug that is usually seen in places with flowers or plants. The artist chose the title “Solace for the Soul“  with the hopes of giving comfort and bringing positivity in the darkness just by drawing the audiences and inviting them to feel the warmth created by the strokes and image that the painting gives off.
The artist's primary reference for this painting is her surroundings, particularly her mother’s ethereal garden. For most people, The color black may signify the absence of color, or perhaps death. Still, black is essential for the artist as it emphasizes the subject's mesmerizing beauty through its colors and composition in the artwork. The artist also decided to let her hands move independently while also taking the value and colors into mind to give a more smooth yet natural flow in the painting. To do this, she brought her cotton swabs into use while also using her favorite technique (dabbing). Making the painting as realistic as possible is undeniably the artist's main goal, which can be seen in how she applied the dry brush technique to bring about the reflections and how people usually perceive them in reality. On top of that, she used her old sponge to give the leaves more texture to look more like the leaves in reality.
